We are so so so excited for the upcoming wedding of Katy & Jeff!! AATR has a special connection to this couple since Katy just happens to be one of Kristen's closest friends!! We asked Katy to answer a few questions about Jeff & herself! Also check out their amazing engagement pictures that were taken in a Fly-In Community in Port Orange. Engagement pictures are from the oh-so-fabulous Kristen Weaver!

1. Can you tell us how the two of you met?
I went to Columbus, Ohio, to surprise one of my best friends, Kim, for her birthday back in January 2010. Jeff was in Columbus visiting his parents. I had an awesome weekend and on the flight back home to Orlando, this guy sat down next to me and started talking about the bad weather that the plane was going to fly through on the way home. I looked at him like he was nuts and told him thank you for scaring me. We didn’t stop talking for the next two hours! We owe Southwest some credit for allowing you to choose your own seats, because he chose to sit next to me that day!

2. Why did you choose to get married at Lake Nona Country Club? Is there any significance to the date you chose?
Even before I got engaged Kristen had been talking about how amazing Lake Nona is and how I would love it. I knew when we pulled up before we even got out of the car that I wanted it. I love the classic style and Jeff loves to golf! We are getting married on November 11th which is exactly one year from when he proposed on 11/11/11.

3. How did he pop the question?
We were on vacation in Jekyll Island, GA, for the Veteran’s Day long weekend. It was our first night there and we had reservations at a fancy restaurant on the island. Jeff wanted to go out on the boardwalk to the beach before we headed to dinner to see the sunset, but I was freezing cold and just wanted to go eat. As I was walking back from the boardwalk, he grabbed my arm and pulled me around for me to see him down on one knee.

4. Why did you hire {AATR}?
Because the wonderful Kristen Johnson is one of my best friends and is a bridesmaid! I have had her locked down since I met Jeff :)

5. What has been the most difficult part about planning your wedding?
The process has been pretty painless because of Kristen’s help, she is giving me great recommendations and I trust the vendors if she trusts them.

6. Where will life lead the 2 of you after your wedding?
Jeff is in the Air National Guard for the military and we will both have just graduated or about to graduate with our Master’s degrees so who knows where we will end up! All we know is we are getting married in November, the rest is up in the air!
